Editing - Evidence Of Effect

Using Final Cut Pro provided us with a vast amount of effects in general. Effects in relations to transitions, effects in reference to colouring, lighting, paced, timing, ect. Once given the chance to explore and experiment with the effects, we established that we'd ended up used the dissolve - transition effects, finding that the most appropriate through and that it'd played a big part in bringing our sequence together. Our most used transitions were Fade in Fade out, Dip to Colour and Cross Dissolve, although we did include other elements of different effects, for example we'd darken the lighting on the last two clips at the end of our sequence because they were both to bright.

This image shows how to get to the brightness setting that we used in our  end sequence

Another example would be on the text and title of out thriller opening. We had the title come up on the screen, letter by letter, creating a type writer effect which fits in really well with the theme and notion of  this being thriller opening. It also adds to the tension, setting the right kind of mood.
